Stuttering/screen overlapping/BSOD with new Lenovo laptop

I purchased a new lenovo laptop (with AMD and NVIDIA GPU) a month ago, and ever since, I have gotten BSODs with the code DPC_watchdog_violation whenever I use its AMD GPU (780M). I have tried reinstalling the GPU from device manager, tried /sfc scannow in command prompt, and updating both GPU and SSD firmware/driver. I used to have an old DELL laptop and it too also had this same BSOD with the same code. Is it possible that the cooling pad I used for both laptops was the issue to this? Any help is much appreciated.
