Hi,
Yesterday I booted into safe mode by checking the option on msconfig in order to remove some malware. When I reached the login screen I couldn't log into my computer because I didn't know I need to have to use my account password and not my PIN (which I always use). So I reset my account password from my phone (I'm using my account right now) but it wouldn't accept my new password. I'm currently stuck in safe mode, and here's what I tried (and didn't work):
- I tried using the advance startup options (the hold shift - power thing) to enable safe mode with networking, but it still wouldn't accept my new password although I managed to get internet connection.
- I also tried using the advance startup options to use the command prompt, but it still asks me for a password and says mine is incorrect (although I'm uaing that account right now).
I am aware that a clean install is an option but I can't afford to lose my files.
Thanks.
