Strange Problem of a Jumping Mouse

Microsoft WindowsVersion 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5247)Every now and then the mouse pointer will jump up and a little to the left. The upward motion is about a quarter of the screen and the leftward motion is small. I think at the end of the process it occasionally generates a click. This happens when the mouse is sitting still on a mouse pad.The mouse is a Logitech mouse.Any suggestion as to how to determine the cause of this would be appreciated.
