We have a Zebra ZM400. It is using the Zebra ZM400 (203dpi) driver.
The issue is we use a software designed by WERUM to print Shipping labels.
The users may print a 1000 labels at a time. The way the software handles this is that it creates a new print item in the print queue for each individual label. All the labels are assigned an order No that need to be printed in sequence. There is no issue if the printer has enough labels and ink in the system to print that many labels. All the labels will print correctly.
However if the printer paused because of no labels or Ink left we have an issue of the label skipping/missing numbers. The printer will take 8 labels into its internal memory but will start deleting the next label in the queue after 3 minutes of failing to send it to the printer.
The longer the printer is paused the more "missed" labels we will see.
We have tried changing the settings on the drivers and the print spooler to stop this but have so far been unsuccessful.
