Static driver verifier does not work on NDIS miniport 6.80

According to the documentation the SDV requires NDIS miniport to be <= 6.40

If the project of NDIS miniport uses, for example, 6.80 the SDV fails with error 23 (SDV does not support this version of the driver type). The valid DVL.XML file is still required for WHCK test. What is the proper/expected way to create the 6.80 NDIS miniport and have is statically analyzed?
