Start Menu won't open after update

I'm using Windows 10, Version 22H2 (OS Build 19045.5608). I installed an update - actually, I was forced to install it. Multiple recent updates result in changes to my default settings including changing my default browser to Edge.This time after the update the Start Menu doesn't work. I've tried various suggestions from here. I restarted Windows Explorer. Ran System File Checker and no errors were found. The Windows key does not open the start menu.
