Start menu type to search results window appearance

I'm working on a new PC configuration for a touchscreen HMI (with no external keyboard) with Windows 10 LTSC. This is an hardware upgrade from a previous configuration of Windows 10 LTSB. My problem is when I hit the start button and begin typing (example bringing up task manager) the search results on the new LTSC version take up 80% of the screen (which usually hides the 3rd party onscreen keyboard we need to use) instead of a single column at 30% of the screen we had in the LTSB version.I have spent the past week searching through google and trying various Registry modifications and group
