Start Menu is Glitchy

Hello, i recently re downloaded my windows from disk, and from it there was issues i fixed the keyboard and stuff but now my start menu is acting up.I cant type in it all the keys do is selecting different apps, it doesnt open any tho, and when i acxtually click the search bar and try to type it just closes the start menu. Ive tried loads of things but to no avail... Any help greatly appreciated! Ty
