Source initiated subscription. Failed to retrieve client certificate

Hi all,

I have established source initiated subscription between two Windows 2008 R2.


The source(the client) can't connect to the server. Logs on the client:


Sending the request for operation Enumeration to destination machine and port server.corp.domain.com:5986

Authenticating the user using Client certificate mechanism

Authenticating the user failed. The credentials didn't work.

Received the response from Network layer; status: 401 (HTTP_STATUS_DENIED)

WSMan operation Enumeration failed, error code 5

Logs on the server.

Sending HTTP error back to the client due to a transport failure.
The HTTP status code is 503
The error code is 995

Failed to retrieve client certificate

Sending HTTP 401 response to the client and disconnect the connection after sending the response

The authorization of the user failed with error 5Authorizing the user

The authentication using client certificate with subject client.corp.domain.com done successfully


How to troubleshoot the error "Failed to retrieve client certificate"?
