Sound distortion after update

Can anyone advise me on this problem. Have Sony vaio with Realtek HD Audio
version 5.10.0.5255
After windows automatic updating, serious audio distortion occured right
from start up.
Formatted computer now have updates turned off, as I dont know which update
is causing the problem. When checking audio devices all working fine.
Any advice?

You can roll back your updates to see if that is what caused the problem, or
