Sound and buffering problems with video playback

Hi, I've recently rebuilt my PC with a clean install of Windows 11 (via USB). Everything was working fine yesterday but today I'm having issues with video playback. Youtube videos start playing with no sound whilst showing a buffering circle. Downloaded media also plays with no sound until paused, then refuses to restart. I've also started getting a similar issue in video games. Not sure if this is a driver issue somewhere but as far as I can tell everything is up to date.
