Solution: Can't Eject USB Drive (External Hard Drive) Windows 11

I have been extremely frustrated the past few months since getting a new computer running Windows 11 Pro. I frequently use external USB hard drives. 95% of the time when I try to safely disconnect I get the error message that Windows cannot stop the device because a program is still using it. I've tried many solutions I've read online like disabling indexing, Drivers, searching background processes, Process Explorer, Resource Moniter etal. Nothing worked. That is until I stumbled upon the solution (note I did not find this anywhere online). All of my external drives were formatted NTFS. I
