Hi,
recently i just upgraded my HP Envy 14 laptop from windows 7 to windows 10, but i didnt like it (all my browsers aren't working, the internet is not coming in to my browsers) so i downgrade it back to windows 7 again. but then my internet wireless connection always in 'Limited access" status and cannot connect to the network, so i called up HP technicians, they taught me to uninstall the wireless adapter driver and then restart the computer, but the problem remain the same, at last i had my computer recovered back to factory setting.
however, after that i have the slow internet issue, at home I use cable internet from Telstra, but the internet on this computer is so slow, download speed is under 50kb/second, i have trouble in youtube videos, internet problems in online games, very lagging and the game pin goes up and down, very unstable, and my computer cant even load up my uni online lecture videos as well, loading webpage is slow. whenever i download a software takes ages, like a 30mb size app will take 1 hour to download because the downloading speed is under 20kb/sec
by the way, the background is.... my home internet speed for another notebook is very fast speed as usual (normally 1~2 mb/sec for both laptops), but only slow internet speed with my laptop, so there's nothing wrong with my home internet broadband. just the wireless connection from this laptop to my home internet is slow, but fast internet when connect with a cable to my home router.
and yesterday i went to my university and connect my laptop with uni network, the speed was good as well, fast and stable speed, 4mb/second. so i think there isnt any problem with my laptop either. I really donno where's problem.
I've tried several ways to fix it (by contacting hp computer technical department and called my internet supplier Telstra technical help center), but none of their strategies works.
1. I run the laptop factory recovery again but remain the same low internet speed
2. I spent the whole night finished all the windows update since after the recovery, but nothing changed.
3. I run the Device Manager, uninstalled the wireless network driver, and restart my computer.
4. I downloaded and installed the update for my intel wireless network adapter driver.
5. I went to router domain setting, changed the control channel.
6. I pressed the reset button on my router.
7. I performed the power cycle, turned all my internet related device off, and then turn them back on again.
please help, hope i can find a solution here. and i hate the windows 10 so bad, shouldn't go upgrade to win 10 at the first place, or can you provide me a windows 7 link to my email for me to download? coz i thought since my laptop interior factory recovery is not fixing it, maybe i should try a different recovery program
