Sleep issues in laptop

My laptop won't sleep if it is plugged in.Pc will sleep if i press the power button, or by closing the lid or by clicking sleep in start. There is no problem. But it won't automatically sleep. Laptop turn off the display after some time but it won't sleep(hdd indication is on and it's not blinking like it is in sleep). Because it is not in sleep i can't wake it .The only option is to forcefully shutdown pc by power button. But there is no such problem while using it on battery, it work perfectly fine.I have tried many ways like reinstalling driver,restoring default batter option,turned of sh
