Signing in to a brand new laptop with parental control

I got a new lenovo ideapad for my son. It came with 1 year Microsoft office. As part of set up we set the MS account with his email. Now it does not let us sign in. It doesn't let patent guardian to sign in either. We are stuck. Would you please help. Thank you.
