sign on as administrator

[Windows 11]

I want to delete a folder from my main hard drive. I get the message 'folder access denied'. I require permission from administrators to make changes to this folder. I'm the only person who uses this computer and I'm the administrator. I went into system and accounts and as far as I can see, I'm signed in as administrator.
