Sign in to Microsoft account

[Windows 11]

I Bought a new laptop with windows 11 home. I was not able to sign in with my company email. I have subsequently signed in with my personal account, then upgraded the windows to Pro as i understand i need Pro to sign into business account. I then went to account in setting and tried to add another user, when i enter the business email it states that this is not a Microsoft account. How do i get my laptop with the windows pro to sign in to my work account only?Thanks in advance
