Should i downgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 8.1?

Hi,

A few years ago, I bought a laptop that came preinstalled with Windows 8.1. I recently upgraded to Windows 10, and it has been working slower ever since. Also, it seems that every time I start it, it installs an update. I've been thinking of going back to Windows 8.1, but I wanted to know if it is worth it.
