Sharing Microsoft??

My laptop is the main user of Microsoft and I share this account with my husband for the Microsoft package on his old computer.I recently purchased a new laptop for my husband and the store added husbands details to it. We are now linked with two computers backing his up on my computer as well as his. How can we rectify this problem. I can see all of his documents and he can see all of mine (which isnt a problem) but we are backing up twice!!
