I tried to DCpromo a new Server 2016 (INM1) from Server 2003 (INM4). The old 2003 server was destroyed before the full transfer could occur. The new server still looks for the global catalog and tries to replicate from the old server which does not exist. I transferred FSMO roles and seized what I could, but the global catalog stumps me. I moved the VM that it was on to a new box and now it does not work at all. Now, I try to run Active Directory Sites and Services or any AD utility on the Server and get an error that the DC cannot be contacted or does not exist.
