This update KB929729 offers itself immediate after the install successfully
runs. For some reason, it never gets it that it has already been installed.
So far I've installed it 13 times since it came down on 7/10/2007. How do I
get this update to stop prompting for a new install? I'm running Vista Home
Premium.

If you know it's a successful install etc, then hide the update.

Hi there,

The update is probably still in the
(C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\download) folder and windows sees it as
still having to be installed, removing the KB929729 from there might solve
ther problem.

Best regards,
Michel Denie

RE: Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Serv

That's what I did in the end. I called Microsoft and was referred to the web
site which didn't have any information on this issue so I just hid it. It
looks like it's succeeding.

Thanks

Re: Security Update for Microsoft .NET Framework, Version 1.1 Serv

I had previously removed the entire directory at Microsoft's request during
troubleshooting. The update always comes back anyway. I finally just hid it.
Thanks
