When the power settings turn my monitors off after the designated time, my secondary monitor will enter power saving mode. I'll then immediately hear the sound of a device disconnecting from the system, then reconnecting. At that point, the second monitor will wake up and display a backlight black screen. When I bump the mouse to turn the screens back on, the secondary monitor instantly shows the desktop again, while the primary monitor takes the time to exit power saving mode. Any windows that had been open on the secondary monitor will now show up on the primary monitor instead.
I've tried everything I can find on the internet, to no avail. I even unplugged all extra cables beyond the power and monitors to ensure it wasn't another device somehow keeping only one monitor awake.
