Search Bar Not Working

Basically, both search functions (the search bar on my taskbar as well as the search function in the windows start tab) don't work.For the search bar on my task bar, clicking on it basically highlights the task bar, I am unable to type anything, clicking on it again removes the highlight. My mouse is clearly interacting with it on some level but the cursor doesn't blink at all, indicating that there's no function to actually type anything. Even writing this, if I click the search bar my computer still has the text cursor blinking, indicating that I can still type here despite clicking on the s
