Screen blacks Out For Half A Second

I noticed that this started happening last week. My screen will black out for a micro second at random. Some times it happens so fast that I'm not even sure if it happened or not. This morning, it blinked while I was on You Tube and everything blacked out except for a You Tube thumbnail. It only seems to happen once every session (I turn it off everyday).I tried to update my graphics driver, but it says that it's already up to date.I realize that it could be a multitude of things causing it. I can live with it. I just want to make sure that it's not an indication of anything more serious.
