Scam e-mails?

I just received three e-mails purporting to be from Microsoft advising me of suspicious activity from Argentina and Brazil. I assume these are all scam messages, but look to know for sure. Every MS place that appears to access customer support refuses me entry. I have just renewed my subscription to Office 365 for Mac.
