Save my DVDs and CDs

Started with DOS 1.0 and have large collection of DVDs and CDs (programs, data and music). Upgrading to windows 11 (?) lost sound and CD and DVD optical drives. Thinking about upgrading to Ryzen but new cases generally do not have slot for optical drive. 1) What is recommended strategy so as not to lose access to these DVDs and CDs after upgrade? 2) is it wise to use old case given need cooling and noise adverse wife?
