Running older programs on a newer computer.

I had the original version of 3D Home Architect by Broderbund on a thumb drive that would allow me to use the program directly from the thumb drive. I installed the program on this using my old laptop (very old) so I was able to copy all the files on the disk after opening them on the old computer then using the copy/paste method. I have since lost that thumb drive and cannot repeat this process on either laptop I have because they are both too new and the newest one does not have an internal CD driver.
