I work in the IT department for a community college. For a while, especially with the Covid-19 pandemic, we used a workaround for doing one-time installs remotely, especially if it was a program that wouldn't work with our managed deployment for whatever reason. We would start a session with the user through Quick Assist or Zoom + screen share, shift+right-click for the Run As Different User option, and manually entering in administrator credentials.
