Say you have an RSS feed with an item that has a pub date:
Wed, 17 Mar 2010 11:30 -0400
and you're using IE to look at this feed on Friday March 12th, 2010 and
your computer is in Mountain Time ( currently GMT -7).
IE displays the date as
Wed, 17 Mar 2010 8:30 AM
This is wrong. On Wednesday, March 17th Mountain Time will be GMT -6.
The actual correct time displayed should be 9:30 AM.
I believe this is because IE is doing the date conversion using the
current GMT offset, not the GMT offset that is in effect for the date.
When the same feed is viewed in Firefox, it displays as expected.
