Restoring Windows 10 from a backup created using the built in backup feature (windows 7) from a network attached flash drive connected locally.

I used the in built (and outdated imo) windows 7 backup feature. I wasn't able to just use a USB flash drive. The work around was to share the drive as a networked drive. I then was able to backup to this drive with the windows 7 backup feature. Windows, for some reason, doesn't just create an ISO, it copies files and what not. After the so called "backup" was created, I installed a version of Linux to use for portable ham radio operation. I ended up needing some software that is only available on Windows, so I am now trying to restore windows, and then will create a partition with Linux
