Reset computer to factory setting?

Am trying to reset my husbands computer to factory settings as he has passed away, and I have my own. Did not want to sell in case there was info still on here. I got through the first part ok, then it said needed an account on here to go further, put mine in, now it won't let me go any further . How in the HELL do you get this thing cleared without his or my info on here?
