Repeated virus threats to Defender in last 3 days

I am usually quite conscious of possible computer threats but I received an invitation from a friend that said it required Adobe Flash Player. So I clicked on it and it installed but nothing happened. Then I discovered that Flash PLayer was discontinued in 2020. Since then (about 3 days ago) Defender's Virus Security has stopped (quarantined or removed) 8 severe threats to MSBuild.exe.
