red disc now covers the camera lens of my lenovo ideapad 1

i have a lenovo ideapad 1. a red disc now covers the camera lens. i've reinstalled the driver, checked privacy settings ( all can use it) pressed on the camera and on both sides of it to no avail - that disc is still there and the camera is not working. any ideas? thanks
