Recently wiped and reinstalled Windows, now I can't add my laptop to the devices list on Microsoft Account

> I wipe and reinstall windows> I go for like 3 months without caring> I realize that my Microsoft-linked laptop (the one I reinstalled Windows on) is messed up> I try to fix it by removing the device entirely from my Microsoft account> I try to add it back using my service tag/serial number> I get hit with "We didn't recognize this serial number"I can't add a screenshot for some reason. It's a Dell Inspiron G15 5515 P105F004DGR.
