Received error message that microsoft is blocking my computer

while working on creating a website, an alert popped up supposedly from Microsoft with error message # 268D3 and a toll free 844 phone # to call. Message indicated that Microsoft was blocking my computer and if I didn't call within 5 minutes my credit card and e-mail might be compromised.

I could not close the window so I first ran a scan - no problems detected and followed advice to go through task manager to close and then log off.

Now that I'm back on - is there anything else I should be doing?

Also - I wanted to contact Microsoft to alert them. What's the best way to do that?
