RE: Hardware Drivers in Windows Update Catalog

Drivers are not typically posted to a specific service pack, only for the
operating system.

So a driver posted to the catalog won't be posted to Windows XP SP2, but
just Windows XP.

Also, because the v4 version of Windows Update is very old, we no longer
feed drivers to this version of WU. To see recent drivers posted to WU,
please visit the beta version of the new Windows Update Catalog.

Hi there,

Taking driver update from windows update is really not a good idea unless
you like problems;)

When a driver update is needed beacuse the hardware is NOT functioning well
than you should look at the manufacturers site for an update.

If the hardware works fine: leave it be working fine: if it ain't broke; do
NOT try to "FIX" it.

Best regards,
Michel Denie
