Random black screen crashing on Windows 10

For the last couple of weeks I've been having crashes with no discernible source, seemingly at random. Sometimes occurs several times in one day but I can go a day or two with no crash. I've not noticed any pattern as it has occurred whilst in Edge browser but also in Lightroom and other desktop software. I've done a complete clean reset without saving any user settings / files but the problem came back within a day. It crashes with the screen going black but on one occasion I was watching something on YouTube and I could hear the sound from the YouTube video carrying on for about 20 seconds
