Quick Access toolbar in windows explorer is no longer there. None of the suggested solutions work.

Since an abortive Windows 11 update a few weeks ago (left my system unstable and I had to roll back) the Quick Access toolbar has completely gone. Attempts to pin items to the tool bar just leave an error message "A disk error occurred during read operation"- no matter what file or folder I try to pin. Dragging and dropping doesnt work either and all my old pins have gone.I've tried every single version of the suggestions I've found on line either here or on youtube etc which show easy solutions to this through the explorer Options dialogue. None of them have had any useful effect.It is extrem
