Question about Office 365 & account provisioning.

I work at a tech college in IT and we are going to begin Office 365 migration for faculty here in the next week - 2 weeks. My work email address is/has been used as a Microsoft personal account (a onedrive personal) account for many years accessing the Microsoft Volume License Center. We are supposed to begin testing on Monday of migrating our data up to Onedrive & from our network drives & email migration before an upcoming faculty/staff rollout here very soon. My question is if my current email address/Microsoft account is a personal account would it be possible to change it to Microsoft Onedrive for Business account? I'm just thinking when I get the link for our site I'm going to get an error message saying my account is a personal account.
