program icons left in system tray after programs are closed and technically are terminated

can any of you guys explain why this happens with almost every program on a windows machine?


CCleaner - All Other Applications


I've always had the same issue and all of my programs that are thrown into the startup dir when installed have been disabled. see image below. help anyone?
