7.14.15 JUST SAW MESSAGE RE:
Mozilla Blocks Flash In Firefox To Protect Users Against Recent Zero-Day Vulnerabilities

After two recently discovered Flash zero-day vulnerabilities, Mozilla blocked Flash temporarily in Firefox until Adobe will release a patch over the next few days.
This must be a plug in or extension, but my wonderful, reliable IOBIT uninstaller does not tell the date they were added.

Yesterday, Facebook's new Chief Security Officer (CSO), Alex Stamos, called on Adobe to kill Flash once and for all, to end the stream of critical vulnerabilities that have plagued the software over its entire lifetime. The message came after a couple of more zero-day vulnerabilities were found in the Hacking Team data leak.I guess I can delete them and get back

I READ SOME OF THE PREVIOUS THREADS BUT I DON'T THINK THEY HAD OR I COULD NOT UNDERSTAND THEM ENOUGH TO DO THIS MYSELF.

Below are some questions, but I think ADOBE FLASH IS THE PROBLEM. I'M GETTING OUT MY IOBIT & OUT THEY GO~!

Where can I buy a Windows 7 disc?

my 2012 Dell computer came with Windows 7 already installed. I didn't get around to buying a Windows 7 disc as I usually buy the disc that goes with the software.

I think I made a SAVE DISC some time ago if I can find it.

I feel a bit desperate. Windows is graying out, slowing down; when I click it takes many seconds to go to a link or close out a window. my browsers are freezing, I am getting plug-ins or extension are working and should be stopped or they are not working. Windows cannot do the performance appraisal.

I tried using RESTORE and will try it again. I can only hope it restores previous REGISTRY entries.
All I want right now is a disc with the original registry entries in particular.

I will delete the java I downloaded. I am always careful to uncheck any of the additional programs offered and yet, I see new things on my Start List that were not there before.

WHERE can I download from microsoft registry checker, that returns any missing registry - are they called keys? as I, too, a simple user of computers thought when i got messages from online sites I like told me such and such was out of date.

I went to CNET having heard that is a safe site. I also went to, I think it's called geeksquad or the like as I heard that was a safe place to download (the site has a lot of green on it).

I'm 66, very disabled, so the main pleasure in my life is my computer, especially watching videos.
Since chrome doesn't support videos, something about cross-platforms, i switched to firefox.
On firefox, i was told i needed a java update, so i went to java.com believing the site itself would be safe.
firefox said the java download was unsafe, but i thought - how can it be unsafe if it comes straight from the java site?

I deleted the chrome i had and downloaded the newest chrome for everything EXCEPT videos.
I really liked the older version of chrome, it's simplicity, not cluttered browser page..... and I could watch videos.

Actually, I'm now starting to wonder if the registry cleaner I downloaded from CNET was a mistake. I always read what the editors AND the users say about a program. Of course, I only download the free ones. I am hoping restore will fix any corrupted files, return missing registry entries,
