Problems signing in

I just opened my DELL laptop and when I was trying to put in my pin in order to sign in I got a message saying make sure additional factor is set up and then it changed to a message that said couldn't verify additional factor try a different sign-in option, but my pin is my only sign-in option and I can't even go to the settings to add another sign-in option. Now I can't access my user that has my Microsoft account. I tried adding an authenticator but it didn't work at all. How do I fix this to be able to use my laptop and my Microsoft account again.
