I have started having problems opening any program. Using Windows XP and it

will not open any .exe file. Any ideas what the problem is.

If you can get on the Internet, I would start here:

Perform some scans for malicious software, then fix any remaining

issues:

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware

detection programs:

Malwarebytes (MBAM): http://malwarebytes.org/

SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

They can be uninstalled later if desired.

You have some sort of malware. Follow the info that was already posted to you by

As Dave & Jose have said- Malware. Start up in Safe mode (tap F8 during

start up)with networking. Download the free Malwarebytes from

http://www.malwarebytes.org, install, update and run a deep scan.

Once you have cleaned the system, update the programs that have known

vulnerabilities on your computer. Don't know which? Download the free

Secunia PSI program from Secunia Personal Desktop PSI. It will scan your

computer and provide direct links to update the vulnerable programs. It

eliminates having to go to each web site, once you figure which.
