Problem with the hz of my pc with windows

Hi, I have a 120 hz monitor and before connecting it to my pc let me put the 120hz mode but from one day to another I stopped that option and now only lets me put it to 60hz, I would like to know how to fix it. The cable goes well tya that is the same that I use in my Xbox and there if it goes to 120. Sorry for the bad english, i speak spanish and the message is translated.
