Problem with printing in Windows 11

[Windows Server]

I have a new windows 11 PC which is printing all microsoft office applications fine, but refuses to print from other applications like an internet browser, adobe etc even though the correct default printer shows on each of them and I've tried the printing troubleshooter and checked that the driver for the printer is up to date. The print queue shows that the print has been made!! I have checked that everything remains plugged in each time!!! Any suggestions?
