Printer/scanner no longer working in Win 11

Epson Workforce 645 Win 11I needed my scanner this week and have been unable to use it (and my printer is now going offline all the time for no apparent reason, even though the printer says the network connection is good). Yes, I uninstalled/reinstalled everything, updated drivers, turned power off/on, etc. I tried everything!What is Windows Protected Print Mode (WPP) and if Win 11 installed it, I didn't speifically accept it, why is it apparently operative, and what can I do about it? I read something about "mopria" compatability. Is this the problem?HELP!!Thank you.
