Printer drivers will not install in Windows 7, yet scanner works. Same printer installed...

3 calls to Canon. Toshiba Satellite/Windows 7/mg2520 Canon printer. Their prognosis: Printer is being recognized as "device"--scanner works; printer drivers won't install. They led me through their latest driver download and still same problem. NOTE: I installed this same printer to my HP Vista and Acer XP laptops without a hitch. Is Windows 7 the culprit?
