Preview Pane in Folder Window not Showing Preview of Excel Document (only Excel issue)

Running Windows 7 Pro and using Microsoft Office 2016. Ever since I upgraded to 2016, I am unable to preview Excel files in the Folder window of which they are saved in. All other programs are previewing fine, it is only Excel that won't preview. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have unchecked the "always show icon's; never thumbnails" box, as this was a suggestion on another answer, but that did not help.
