I exported Outlook data from an old Exchange email account for a number of employees, and imported them into a new Exchange account. I told it to "Do not import duplicates". It imported duplicates anyway. Why is that?
I ran a test for removing duplicate emails with Outlook 365 on my own account. I highlighted the Inbox, went to the Home tab, and in the Delete group I selected "Clean Up Folder and Subfolders". I inspected the emails it found as duplicates. NONE of the emails were duplicates, but Outlook put them in the Deleted Items folder anyway. Outlook completely misidentified them.
I don't trust Outlook at this point with my customer's data. How can I clean out all these duplicates ACCURATELY?
