Can someone please help. This has been a problem for over a year now.

Our CFO will print a power point presentation and one page will come out

with large print outside of the frame. It is like some reset occurs for this

one slide.

It does not matter what printer - same results. Here is the weird part - if

the same pps is sent to numerous other users, they can print without a

problem, that specific slide prints correctly for everyone else - on the same

printers.

I figured I would solve the problem when I gave the CFO a new machine with a

clean install of Office well guess what? You got it! It happened again. I

have no idea what to do here

Office 2003 (fully patched) Windows XP/Vista/7

Somebody help this is driving me insane!!!

switch machines again.

except give the cfo one of

the users that is functional

and proven to print the

slide correctly.

Ensure that the CFO has all of the same fonts as everyone else that can

print correctly and also has the same printer driver as everyone else.

The issue you seem to be experiencing is the font issue. If you open the

PPT file and click Format, Replace Fonts it will give a list of every font

in that presentation (in the "Replace" dropdown list.) You then go to

Control Panel, Fonts and look at the list there to see if the CFO's computer

has all of those fonts listed.

This may sound like voodoo, but try installing a MS-certified printer driver

locally to the CFO's PC and set it as the default driver. There are

instructions here:

How to install a TEST printer driver

http://www.pptfaq.com/FAQ00952.htm

but you'll want to choose a different driver, one that matches one of your

available printers.

If that doesn't help, look into what's different about the CFOs PC vs the others

that work correctly.
